Sorry, NS et al, I was confusing reaching the final and winning!!  1978 and 1936 respectively.  I meant to ask what folk where doing when we last won the Davis Cup!!

Looking through wikipedia, it appears that Australia and New Zealand entered a combined Australasian team until 1914.  I wonder whether this is the only example of such meeting of Australasian sporting minds!!   ;)
