Jesus Christ the Son of God came to make known the will of God for mankind. Though the Jews had different beliefs hence the Sadducees and Pharisees, the Messiah was to bring the truth to the Jews about Gods word and will for man.
There are many things we can learn from Christ and many things his teachings show us about the will of God.
HEALING... Christ showed us that it was not the will of God for man to be sick and suffer.
A lot of people remain ill because they never really grasp the truth which God has revealed through Christ.
It isn't just sickness but the whole man God wants to heal.
Jesus said to his disciples:-
King James Bible
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
What Jesus revealed is that God is not respector of persons. Man may reject others as in Christ's day.
Lepers sent away from civilised society and their families. Not even sin could prevent Christ from healing others.
It is Gods will to cure us all and God told us:-
King James Bible
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
What Christ did in the short time he preached was heal the sick, feed body and soul and make known the will of God for man and what was to come.
I don't want to hog this thread. I am hoping other believers will share their knowledge that they have learned from listening to Christs teachings.
A lot of people do not realise the truth that God wants everyone healed and there is no difference because Christ came to all and died for all. Discuss..

Is this saying that people who are ill are that way because they don't understand some ultimate truth?

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Not at all... I sometimes wonder why we do not see death as the normal passage and way of life.
My sister died from a brain haemorrhage when 13 she collapsed two days before her 13th Birthday.
It was devastating for our family she was the youngest of 9 children and we were very close knit.
We have had more than our fair share of children dying. But to think that people die or are ill because they do not understand the ultimate truth is incorrect.
God already said his people die because of lack of understanding.
The believer loses the fear of death. For the believer Christ has overcome death.
Christ also said don't worry about how long you might live because it won't add to it, you cannot change it.
Faith is an option all can choose. In Isaiah 53 it does not say you might be healed it clearly states:-
King James Bible
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Christ has 39 lashes the most and full extent of flogging. Scourging was actually the correct term for how Christ was treated.
The cat of nine tails more or less the same type of instrument used. It cut deep into the skin to arteries and even bones when the flesh tore open.
All the disease and illness known to man can be summed up in 39 catergories.
Christ died to save and heal the sick. He sent the disciples out to heal and part of Gods plan was to show he did not want anyone sick. If you need healing would you ask the LORD, for healing if you did not believe?
Faith is about believing and receiving.

Sass said it isn't just illness but the whole person God wants to heal. I understand that very well and also 'healing' doesn't always mean 'curing'. A lifting of oppression is healing, it will also help our body to fight any sickness but we are all going to be ill at times and die one day of some sort of illness after all, nothing is more certain.

Jesus' teachings are for our learning and understanding, but this is the age of grace. God is doing something different today. Jesus was preparing the Israelites for the seven year of tribulation they must go through. The kingdom program was put on hold when the leadership stoned Stephen.

Paul said in Romans that everything afore time is for our learning and understanding. 2 Cor. chapter five talks about the ministry of reconciliation. Don't mix the two programs together.

The revelation of the secret, which was kept secret since the world began. Jesus didn't know about this secret, because if he did, it wouldn't be a secret. The promise of the seed of the woman (Jesus) did come, there was no secret about that. Is wise to mix the two programs?

Dispys all the saved ever have been saved by grace through faith. As it is written Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.

When the curtain drops and this present age comes to an end, it will be a glorious time when our blessed hope is realized. God has more in store for his grace age saints, not only heaven, but an authoritative position, a joint place of authority in the heavenly realm.

I guess you can show this?
Christ clearly stated that the gates of hell will never prevail against his Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is such that it cannot be put on hold for the Kingdom of God is within the person. The Spirit of God comes and goes where he pleases.
Stephen, wasn't a leader he spoke out as the Spirit gave him word and understanding. Why do you believe such spurious claims of make them?

King James Bible
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
One way to God and that is Jesus Christ. If we have not his Spirit then we do not belong to God or Christ.
What is it you want to do here?

When everything is perfect then only God is required and only his authority needed.
When heaven and earth perfected in truth and Spirit what more is there?

Leviticus 26, beginning with verse 40, is the confession Israel would be called upon to make. Israel would also have to accept the remainder of her punishment, that failure under the law contract would call for and that would be the seven year tribulation. When John the Baptizer came along, had anything new begun? He simply called upon Israel to change their minds about their righteousness.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Wouldn't Israel receive their forgiveness under the new covenant of Christ and so be grafted back in?
