I well understand why we don't have many Muslim posters on here, unlike the BBC.

In your opinion Brownie, what should be the purpose of the Islam area in a board like this?

My experience of the BBC boards is that people forcefully disagreed with Muslim posters there about the usual stuff and they were closed down when a Muslm was appoinrted as hear of R & E.

The BBC boards were not closed down because of anti-Muslim comments.

Indeed, and on reading my post again it may give than impression if you choose to read it that way so I will enlarge on it here.....

It is a shame they do not still exist but they were closed by the BBC. The last appointed head of the R & E boards was a Muslim and the thinking behind their closure is explained in this link
