Title: Where would you go? Do?
Post by: Bubbles on March 15, 2017, 08:02:28 PM
If there was no tomorrow,( time was short)"............. But you had a couple of weeks to go somewhere you had never been before or xperience something important to you...... what would you do ? Or go to? ( money no object)

I want to go to one of those " bounty island  " type places and fish and relax in a hammock with a cocktail 🍹.

I wouldn want too many other tourists around.

Just white sand and sun ☀️

I'm not normally a beach person, but a " bounty " island appeals.

Have you ever been to one? Any suggestions?

Where would you like to go?

My other destination is Hawaii, I want to see the volcanos 🌋

You don't have to travel far to find white sands, and, if you're lucky, sun (at one time the first couple of weeks in May). Gairloch, the north west coast of Scotland, has white sands. Many say to match those of the Seychelles.... just wonderful. In fact, if you've never explored the west coast of Scotland you really should give it a go. The central lowlands are very beautiful too.

I would head straight for Gairloch.... once my home.

I'll have to look, but isn't it a bit chilly? Even in Summer?

Remember I'm down south 😉💐

I think if the end was coming then I would ask God to help me reveal to my loved ones not saved the truth about Jesus and his sacrifice.
The world I would love to see... all of it. Time square NY  and all the most wonderful places in the world but I feel my family and friends more important. Also for God to show those atheist I post here and elsewhere the truth about Christ. We can then spend eternity happy and content together.

A cabin in the forest somewhere in eastern Finland. Lots of spruce and birch. It has a calming effect on me. A lake close by. Just me and the other half, oh yeah, and the cat.

Just as you might discover too late that there is, and you were wrong about him.

I doubt any of that would matter in our, last hours, we'd just want to be peaceful and try to remember the good times. Might be sorry for things in which we've failed & that's no bad thing.

True, I have my asbestos underwear ready in case that evil psycho does exist and consigns me to the fires of hell, which couldn't be any worse than being in its presence in heaven!  >:(

because I would not want to intrude and she would understand.

Faint heart never won fair maid.  Seems you make the decisions for her.
What gives you the right to make the decision for another?
It might be she does not love you and you are scared to find out.
You do not appear to have given her chance from your replies.

I don't think she would understand and I am sure your answers do not allow us to understand.

Women never alway tell men how they feel and some men just decided for themselves.
If a woman evasive in her answer then she does care but unsure about the other person.

Wouldn't you like to know if she cared for you?  Well then a smile and a nod is not enough. Unless you had an affair  and she is married. Then it is a no go area. No nod or smile should be given.

Once someone is married the person becomes out of bounds and you should never let them know how much you might love them. If they divorce then you can tell them as long as you were not part of the separation.

May be you were never meant to be together?
Do you ever think you missed the right one because of that relationship?
You should never let failed relationships hold you back from living your life to the full. :)

I had coffee and crumpets today in Wales... My youngest brother burned the first lot looking at the price of parts for his car.  ;D
It has been a while since I had crumpets and coffee made for me. I am always doing the brewing and any cooking.

Thank you for the mention of crumpets! On a Saturday morning I go out for  coffee with a neighbour and we usually have toasted tea cakes, but I was thinking what I could have for a change!

My mum is a great toasted teacake or crumpet person! Never occurs to me to buy things like that but you talking about it is tempting me.

Nice to see you quoting a Christian hymn which longs for emAancipation and eternity.....
Why the rugby fans sing it remains an enigma.

My wife is a successful gospel singer too and I love gospel singing too and yes there is a fear element in that of course.

I'm a bit worried because she is going to Poland shortly, to sing there, there might be an extra influx of Poles coming here.

Go for  'the big sing' on you tube and try to guess which one is my wife.

The Polish visit is a bit of a problem, she now thinks she's an international singing star and I'm finding her devanesship a bit difficult, they say humour is the best way of dealing with it?

Sometimes dependent on mood I like to listen to Gregorian chant music too, even though the music's good, the ideas they think they represent in some way, are obvious crap.

So I can't see there is any problem for me with that lovely slave music, "Swing low________ etc.

England, England!

There has been quite a discussion on this song and its associations on the Purgatory board of Ship of fools.

Yep. It's bad enough singing a dirge about an old woman whom you want to have a long life. Diddly squat to do with any nation, though.
