Seems to be only one celebrity woman mentioned in a litany of celebrity men.
Seems to be filmed in the style of a rock and roll tour.....heavily cultural that.

Addendum please insert question mark after the words Men only.

Yes it smacks of ''Trendy vicarism''.
I wonder if the New Atheist movement has reflected on just how chappish it looks from the outside or IMHO how celebrity oriented.

I suppose that it's more about the U.S. where there have been and are issue about being an atheist running for office.

In which case New Atheists are tackling a creepy fundamentalism by becoming, er, a creepy fundamentalism.

I think there has been a long running strain of this from some new atheism that has been a bit creepy. The whole idea of the Brights was both creepy and silly. The ongoing suggestion that bringing kids up in your religion is child abuse has the bare essentials for a witch hunt.

I think you are wrong Nearly Sane
There is a difference between a grown up person who decides homosexuality (for instance) is wrong.
And
The religious teaching a child of 3 or 4 years old that homosexuals should be put to death 'cos god says so.

The cynic in me is suggesting that they have discovered the tactics that religionists use are more effective than rational argument.

Alas and alack on reflection I have decided that there can be no more Vlad involvement on the forum and that will be indefinitely. I thought showing an intention to limit my involvement to just the debate section was going to be a good halfway house but I now realise that that is not the radical step I need to make.
No blame, just don't want the volume or to be a conduit or a receptacle for a multiple since it is,after all a spare time thing. So farewell everyone.
Well, that didn't last too long did it?
Looks like your rabid anti-atheist fixation needs to be exorcised more than you can resist?!
Welcome back by the way!
;)

Thank you. You need to look up the meanings of the word ''indefinitely''.
It means an unspecified amount of time.....unlike the short amount of time ''it'' takes to wear off.
I am not rabidly anti atheist just rabidly anti rabidly antitheist.
Are you rabidly anti rabidly antirabidlyantitheist .......or something?

I know what indefinitely means. I also know what pairing it with the phrase, 'Farewell everyone', suggests.
Anyway I'm leaving this board indefinitely as well.....
....see you in five minutes.......or maybe two hours or maybe a couple of days, or weeks or something!

That's either a non sequitur to my post or a strawman, difficult to work out which, though it is definitely a false dichotomy.
Presumably you believe on teaching choldten some moral precepts and things about you believe the world works? Wouldn't the firsr be simple belief, and the second based on your experience? If so, surely that's just what religious parents do?
