Title: Airey Neave
Post by: Nearly Sane on March 22, 2017, 07:23:12 PM
Triggered by the tragic events at WM today i was talking to an American friend who is too American and too young to remember the murder of Neave but did work at WM later and remembers bombs being checked for under cars with a mirror on a stick.

It was an extraordinary life

I remember his assassination, and that of Ian Gow.

Later I used to drive through an armed police check in order to get to my mum's flat in London. Sometimes we were stopped and asked to account for ourselves.
