I was told years ago that you should never put anything in your vagina that you wouldn't put in your mouth.

Yeah, I've heard some worrying advice about raw garlic. Try chomping on that and see how advisable it might be.

I was reading about women in a tribe who put stinging nettles up there during a period, like it isn't uncomfortable enough as it is, at times.   :o

People do some strange things.

I did nearly choke on a tampon once before transferring it to my nose.

I was very tiny, crawling about, so don't remember clearly but can picture it as It's a story that has been told (and probably grown) over the years. There was one loose in my mum's handbag whch I got hold of & put in my mouth. I coughed and spluttered. My mum ran to me at which point it was out of my mouth and I was trying to insert it into a nostril.

Mum said it was a lesson to her not to leave things like that loose nor to leave her handbag on the floor with a baby crawling around.
