Well Aida is cultural appropriation, as is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. The question is whether cultural appropriation is bad. I think it is obviously not bad.

The whole musical is based on a Jewish myth. If you have a problem with that, do something else, like Jesus Christ Superstar.... oh, wait.
