You would have to have a screw loose to pay that for a bottle of whisky even if it was the genuine article. :o

It wasn't for the bottle, but a single measure. If you have enough money, you might well do things that other people think mad.

Some people have more money than sense. I am of the opinion if you have money you should do something worthwhile with it, so many people are in need in this world.

Quite right.
If people refrained from say buying a new car every year when there is clearly no need to do so and use the money to do something more worthwhile. The world would be a better place.
