Here's the lowdown on the new Bishop of London, Mrs Sarah Mullally. She certainly looks the part (if one is allowed to say that) :-

Sounds alright, not enough but getting there, baby steps and all that.

From the quoted article:
At a press conference at St Paul’s Cathedral, Mullally said she was “delighted and slightly terrified” at her appointment. She was careful to reach out across theological divisions within the church in her first comments after the announcement, and said she wanted to serve “people of faith and no faith”.
It is noice to see that she can recognise that which Sassy, Alan Burns et al cannot - that religion is faith not fact!

The CofE exists to serve everyone in this country regardless of faith, that has always been its mandate. It isn't exclusive. Not at all likely to happen but, for example, it would be quite in order from the pov of the church, for a Sikh couple to be married by a vicar in their parish church because they have the right.
Good luck to the new Bishop of London, it's going to be interesting (for those who are interested).
