Not sure how you would find this easy to get figures on

I thought that for a while, working class actors were all the rage, but maybe it's changed.   But yes, how would you know?

I had seen that there had been some comments against posh boys like Dominic West and Damian Lewis (both attended Eton?) and Benedict Cumberbatch amongst others but West would argue that he isn't that posh, I can get that you could look at educational background but  that's still going to be problematic. Would someone on a scholarship be posh or not?

I had the impression that Steph is grumbling that posh women may sometimes be from ethnic minorities, but they are still more privileged than she is?

I'm surprised Steph doesn't have a clause in her contract to clog dance and sing Sally from the Alley for the amusement of viewers in the south east.

I think, Vlad, that your ignorance of life north of Watford is showing through. Sally's alley is not in Steph's home town.

wrong part of the country altogether.
Another example of you not knowing what you're talking about.

I was wondering if Vlad was riffing on the idea of general ignorance of the 'north' that it's all just the same filed with whippets, and ferrets, and people singing about alleys.

she's not much of a looker , that's probably got something to do with it .

I can only speak for myself , I tend not to watch her on telly because I don't like how she looks , not how she sounds.

Yes, you strike me like the type who would prefer a bit of Piers Morgan.

What was the point of including my quote in the above?

It's almost like you want to project a caricature

It was an error... I was mulling a response.

it's not important for you to know . It's only important for me to know.

I do wonder about the ‘just now at six figures’ thing. Given that for a lot of working class women ‘just now can afford to pay the rent’ is an achievement, it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. But is that just me? I wonder if it is more to do with experience - I believe that Kirsty Wark’s salary isn’t hugely higher.

Turner and the musician Julian Breme, would you believe, had similer trouble to Steph.

I wonder when this kind of thing will finally be consigned.

Reminds me of the rank in the second world war time Airforce was Flight Sargent for the under privelleged, the same rank for the posh boys, Eaton etc, was Wing Commander.

Ant and Dec aren’t posh, neither is Gary Linekar, and they are all paid well. Is it still a gender thing - women should be posh - (Fiona Bruce is posh and well paid) or is it that being not posh is acceptable in light entertainment and sport but not current affairs?

My wife and I dress up for dinner every Wednesday candelabra, finger bowls, long gloves, dinner suit, dress shirt, bow tie, low lighting, everything silver service and enjoy our egg chips ham and baked beans with M & S brown sauce, follow that you common lot that probably don't know how to live, like wot we do.

I'm extremely envious, quite green in fact. I had takeaway curry last night eaten off a tray in front the TV, wearing old jeans.

Never thought of Fiona Bruce as 'posh', she's very nice and pleasant, looks good but speech is ordinary. Helena Bonham Carter is posh.

Trying to dance in Sally's Alley would be sexual harassment and would probably lead to a lengthy prison sentence if done without her consent.
