My daughter and I were discussing this last night. Twattishness aside, the overuse of Instagram filters by the young woman in question is rather alarming.
Ftr we decided that he’d get away with ‘twat’ but not ‘cunt’, but don’t see the point in either being the ‘worst word ever’.

I wonder whether one can call a Tory MP a twat or a cunt in public and not find onesself staring down the end of a police sub machine gun or have one's passport taken away?

I'd completely forgotten 'twat' was sometimes used to describe womens' genitals, not heard that for years & I bet loads of people wouldn't have known it.
Michael Fabricant is quite right that there is another, more well known, definition:-
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=twat&rlz=1C5CHFA_enGB717GB727&oq=twat&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.3348j1j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
He shouldn't really be calling anyone names but it does all sound a bit of a mountain made out of a molehill. The perils of social media.

Fabricant is obviously a very unpleasant person. >:(

Fabricant is an utter idiot. I discovered that "twat" was very rude when I was nine or ten, whenI used it of a friend I'd temporarily fallen out with, in my Dad's hearing. He made it very clear that it was not, as I'd thought until then, just another form of "twit", but was extremely rude (though he didn't tell me what it meant). I can't believe that even an idiot like Fabricant didn't know that.

Being socially and internet inept I have no idea of the significance of this apparent failing.

I agree with Steve H. Fabricant (surely, a fabricated name) must have been living a somewhat isolated life if he did not know this particular case of common usage.
But then, looking at his hair, he probably does live an isolated life.

That is one of the strangest links I've seen. The young lady complaining looks as though she's wearing a mask, and the MP in question looks as though he's wearing a wig.

That makes it sound like Michael Fabricant is in no position to call other people Twats.
TWAT Tory Wearing Alternative Trichology.

Exactly, Vlad. ;)

Mask = instagram/snapchat filter.

She was on the BBC Midland News this evening. She struck me as wearing too much make up. Her whole face was a single shade of near white offset by very red lipstick. Is this called "emo"?

Twitter storm, nothing to see here. Move along.
