Cobalt is a vital ingredient in lithium batteries - those used in computers, cell phones and Teslas. Apparently, demand will mean shortages as soon as 2022.

To be fair, it's not just Teslas that use cobalt but all modern electric cars.
But I think you may be right in that there is a reasonable probability that Tesla is not solvent.
