Should Indian police go on this remote island to investigate possible murder?
After all no one is above the law.
-
If this island is under Indian jurisdiction they should investigate this man's death. However, he was a fool to attempt to impose his faith on a tribe who have no wish to have any contact with the rest of the world, not that it excuses them killing him. His god wasn't looking out for him. ::)
-
The island is off-limits to outsiders. he was breaking the law, and could have started an epidemic among the tribe. of something they have no immunity to. He was very stupid and irresponsible, and as it would, apparently, be dangerous to both sides to try to recover his body, the daft twat's body should be left where it is.

One has to hope that The New Atheists are right and that morality is universal and that the islanders themselves are investigating with an eye to the serving of justice.

The islanders I would have thought have already served justice in their eyes?
How do you think their actions will be viewed when the ultimate justice (your version) is meted out?

If that is the justice which is allegedly universal then we are all in trouble.
I don't know rightly what went on and cannot comment on how they willl fair at the last judgment.

Hi Owlswing. How's paganism these days or is that a secret?

Trying to be smart, Vlad, and you end up showing you are smartarse, and an ignorant one at that!
There is nothing secret about paganism - it is all open to anyone who wishes to investigate regardless of the motivation for the investigation. Even a Christian looking to prove that we are a bunch of raving nutcases is welcome and will find their sarcastic and bloody rude questions will be answered with a candour that Christians find hard to accept or match.
Lesson One - Both Christianity and Paganism are matters of FAITH NOT FACT!
Lesson Two - Paganism = No secrets
Lesson Three - Witchcraft = Some secrets but only kept from sarcy sods and sanctimonious twats looking to take the piss.
-
No responce Phyllis?
You really do not like being told that you are off-the-planet wrong, do you?
Especially by someone who knows what they are talking about - in this case Paganism!
-
I didn't know anything about this before today. Yes John Chau was extremely unwise but poor soul, he was only 26. It's a tragedy. I'm quite fascinated by the island and the inhabitants now though.

Perhaps, Vlad, we should send you on a fact-finding mission and you can report in when if you get back. :)

I understand music is a universal language used in missionary work.
If you went instead we'd end up with an island of banjo playing loin cloth wearing antitheists who do not want to be disturbed by the outside world........which is of course a marvellous description of this forum.

Christmas is coming, and I've just had an insight into that old carol "While shepherds watched".
Doesn't the penultimate verse go:
"Thus spake the Seraph, and forthwith appeared a shining ..thong...."
Aaargh!! The image may be with me for life.
