Hi everyone,
This post is not really about Hinduism but about spirituality, politics and detachment. So I am posting it here on the general section. Request the mods to leave it here.
Today is Krishna Janmashtami or Krishna's birthday. In this video, Sadhguru talks about Krishna and his life.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlw9PcWs8y4
Request all of you to kindly watch this video. It will give you an idea of who Krishna was and how we Hindus think of him....and also about how we look at spirituality in general.
Cheers.

Hardly 7 minutes...

What's hardly seven minutes?
I've watched some, will continue when I'm on my own sririam.
29th:- I have to say, though I find the guru very likeable, I didn't find that particularly interesting and I am usually drawn to such things. Could just be me having an off day.
Don't let my comments put you off posting such things sririam, I'm just one person & generally enjoy your posts.

Well...yes. One needs to understand the culture. Krishna is one of our major deities. We think of him as playful, romantic, full of music and joy. Never a dull moment. Full of life and fun.
However, it is the same Krishna who later guides a warrior in battle and also teaches the Bhagavad Gita, which is till today the most widely accepted compendium on Hindu philosophy and spirituality.
