To anyone who may be in the least bit interested -
May I offer to all the very best wished for the Winter Solstice tomorrow in the hope of a reduction in new infections and of deaths from Covid 19 as companions to the New Year!
It was interesting to hear the number of people in Iceland bemoaning the imposition of Tier 4 restrictions who were not wearing masks!
Bright Blessings, Love and Light and may the Old Ones watch over you and yours always!

You have my best wishes anytime Owl, was there some special reason for wishing all the best and the rest at the moment?
At least for me I can soon start to give insincere responses to my family that live in N Z and Aus now their summers are on the wrong side of the slope.

December 21, the Winter Solstice, is one of the eight festivals of the pagan year as celebrated by Covens like my own. I know that there are no longer any other Pagans on the Board for me to send wishes to and thus doing so opens me up to the sharp tongues of some of the harder line Christian fraternity, but it seems the friendly thing to do.
AS to the possible brickbats, I've kinda got used to them over the last however many years.
Look after yourself Ippy!

Twas a mild leg pull Owl, I guessed it would be something to do with your dancing naked in the woods stuff but then I get reminders from my antipodean family with things like, 'thank goodness for the air con', etc while we're freezing our tails off and there's an obvious need for something to fight back with then some of my friends too are often quiet rude to me as well, can't think why?
Regards Owl, ippy.
Doesn't that mud squish between your toes this time of year?

dancing naked in the woods
ARE YOU BLEEDIN' JOKING? I am Pagan! I am NOT bleedin' insane!
Dancing naked in the woods for Yule is the prerogative of the hard-arsed Gardnerians! And they are welcome to it! And before you ask 'NO' I am NOT joking! They do ALL their rituals 'skyclad'! As I think I may have mentioned before I have seen a Gard High Ptiestess taking part in a ritual at Avebury, two feet of snow on the ground, and fall flat on her face into the snow, say her part, stand and walk back into her place in circle for another half an hour without even a bloody shiver!
Cloak, Robes and two layers of woolen underwear for this old witch I am afraid!
So I am unable to comment of the squishing properties of woodland mud mid-December I am afraid!
Bright Blessings, Love and Light and may the Old Ones watch over you and yours always!
