This would appear to be a blatant case of air piracy! And thus illegal.

It might be that no Belarus-owned aircraft will be accepted to land anywhere in the world.

Indeed. Strong suggestions this morning in the media that flights will no longer be allowed to cross their air space. Also indications that sanctions may come into play.
