Not my favourite MP but well done. It's ridiculous that telling the truth about thr lying PM is treated as worse than the PM lying. I want all the opposition to do this, and take the suspensions.

It is quite staggering that she gets suspended for telling the truth. I know it's in the rules of the House, but when you have a PM who is determined to break every rule he can sometimes fighting fire with fire is the way to go.
Well done Dawn Butler!

MP told off for telling the truth.
Sums up Westminster to a tee.

SNP and all other opposition MPs should follow suit

Perhaps if numerous MPs did the same as Dawn Butler, as NS suggests, and accused Boris the Liar of lying in the HoC, I wonder if might it prompt the Speaker to investigate.

It's quite staggering that an MP, who should know the rules, can't find a way of calling the PM a liar without actually saying he is a liar.
This was a publicity stunt.

Of course it was. That was the point. Publicising that Johnson is a liar. Although to be fair anyone with a brain cell should have realised that years ago.

God help us if Shitty Patel ever becomes PM - I'm sure she has ambitions in that direction.

"The government does not accept liability in this matter and it was right that the government defended the case," a spokesperson said.
and
The government has settled with former civil servant Sir Philip Rutnam over his claim for unfair dismissal.
Sources close to Sir Philip confirmed to BBC Radio 4's PM programme that he received £340,000 plus his legal costs
So they paid out £340K+ of our money, for something they don't accept liability for.
Makes complete sense.

Lyndsey Hoyle the speaker ,who apparently used to model as a jelly for Rowntrees, could suspend Johnson et al, Why ythen doesn't he? Peerage, threats or is he worried about the celebrated Tory appetite for vindictiveness and vengeance?
In other words what would Johnson do if he was given his marching orders?
One can imagine the scene. Rees Mogg, Andrew Bridgen and Mark Francois trying to displace Hoyle from his chair, with Peter Bone using Steve Baker, the human bogbrush to harry the speakers rectum.

She went on holiday and started Governmental negotations with a foreign power without actually informing the government under Theresa May. May generously gave her the opportunity to resign. It should have been the end of her career.

She's as Teflon-coated as her boss.
