She drips with ineptitude

She not only drips with it, she turns it into an art form.

And that's the closest to 'art' that she'll ever get. I couldn't believe it when she was promoted to 'culture' secretary. Has she been restricted to sports in the latest shake-down?

No, still arts as well.

The current commonwealth games is considerably bigger than the 2014 event in Glasgow, but not as big as the 2012 Olympics so Nadine is correct in what she says.

Drivel. 2014  - 4947 athletes, 2022 5054 athletes.

She didn't mention size. She just said, "like this".

I would suggest the CW games in 2014 is very much like the CW games in 2022.

I think you are mistaken here.

I mean she may have that mindset, but I think it much more likely that as usual MadNad does not know her brief.

Every subject she speaks on she is wrong. It is no more complicated than that.

She is quite simply hopeless.

I don't think that is true.

I think she is ill informed, but then there are probably loads of people who wouldn't remember that the commonwealth games was in Glasgow in 2014 because I doubt that many people have much interest in the commonwealth games at all.

But she is also either poorly briefed (surely someone should have made clear in advance of her remarks that the UK hosted the last but one commonwealth games) or perhaps that she doesn't take any notice of her briefs. I suspect the latter as she keeps making these stupid claims, also confusing Rugby League and Rugby Union and thinking Channel 4 received public funding.

No. She just forgot about the 2014 Commonwealth Games. So had I to be fair, but then, I'm not the minister of sport.

And it is terrifying that someone like her is anywhere near political decision making.

Too right! If Truss is voted in as PM I reckon Dorries will expected a high position in the Cabinet having supported her. :o

She's a Tory, so that goes without saying. More to the point, she's as thick as pig-shit.

I don't think it does. It's difficult to think of one in government who is not unpleasant in some way, but I think, to an extent, they are playing up to what they perceive the crowd wants.

The late Earl of Arran helped steer the act that decriminalised homosexual acts through parliament in 1967, and was also an active campaigner for animal (especially badger) rights, so he was a good Tory. There have probably been a few others. In general, though, Tory = bastard. (On a side note, I once saw the Earl of Arran with his trousers round his ankles.)
