Saw Dr Feelgood in the Glasgow Apollo in 1976 - simple stuff but wonderfully done, and Wilko on-stage was very memorable: plus he played a Telecaster!

I've seen Wilko Johnson twice. I didn't know who he was the first time. I count myself hugely privileged

You need to fix the spelling mistake in the title btw.

Thanks for picking up my spelling mistake.

When you saw him the first time, not knowing who he was, why were you at the gig?

Thanks for picking up my spelling mistake.

When you saw him the first time, not knowing who he was, why were you at the gig?

It was a tour called "The Mad, the Bad and the Dangerous" tour. He was touring with The Hamsters and John Otway. I was there to see The Hamsters and Otway.

I also saw Wilko at Wickham Festival one year but he had to finish his set early because he was unwell. This was soon after he had his surgery to save him from cancer.

Edited to add - autocorrect changed Wilko to Wilco
