Title: Asylum claims for 12,000 to be considered without face-to-face interview

This seems to be a policy purely predicated on dealing with bad figures on the asylum seekers backlog. 

ETA - and other than a headline that the backlog has come down, will annoy some in his party but unlikely to win approval from others.
