This sounds much harder to concentrate on than driving

Indeed.
I think I'd prefer a system where we drove and the cars monitored and advised or cut in to correct errors.

It can control steering, acceleration and braking but a camera will monitor a driver's eyes so they stay alert.
How does that work then?
Or do they mean that a camera will monitor the driver's eyes and do something like sound an alarm if it detects the driver is not alert?
I don't see the point of this. If I have to stay alert anyway, what's the point of being able to take my hands off the wheel?
I've got nothing against driver aids as such but I will embrace full self driving only when it is safe and legal for my car to drive me home after a night on the beer.
