Dr Shiteface talks of 'homosexuality being forced on us from outside'. Now I don't know about all the attitudes to homosexuality among African tribes and states before the arrival of Christianity, but I believe it was quite variable. What I do know is that Christianity introduced a huge infection of homophobia into the cultures it influenced, whether or not homosexuality was tolerated before. Richard Francis Burton seems to have found it being practised all over the place.
