It is sad, but well worth a read. That the story extends over 30 years doesn't reduce the sheer horror of what happened to Nikki, the effects on her mother, how the police acted leading up to the initial trial, and then the eventual conviction.

Such a pitiful apology by the police. This mans life was destroyed by this. At least he should be offered some compensation so that he can have some comfort for the rest of his life.
