Title: Why the FBI is still searching for hundreds of Capitol rioters

For one of the most public events that struck at the heart of US govt process, this seems hard to believe but it underlines what a divided country it is.

They need to go after Mike Flynn and Roger Stone if they really want to get to the bottom of this.

They need to go after Mike Flynn and Roger Stone if they really want to get to the bottom of this.

Just watched the documentary on Roger Stone made by the Danish director Christoffer Guldbrandsen. I wasn't aware just how much influence Stone had on the whole of the earlier Trump campaigns, and how much his relentless insistence that the majority of  Democrats were liars and the whole "Stop the Steal" mania was down to him. How similar his tactics are to those of Trump, and how freely they appear to lie themselves, whilst accusing their opponents of being guilty of the very deficiencies and downright evils they themselves exhibit. And of course, never ever backing down, never ever apologising.

There is of course no honour among thieves, and I got the impression that all is not well between them now. The documentary ended with Stone issuing a stream of invective against Trump and his daughter, shrieking that Trump should be impeached and not allowed to stand for another term - all because Trump would not grant Stone a second pardon over his part in the January riots on the Capitol*. That all seems a long time ago now. I don't know if Stone has been allowed back into the fold or whether he actually did do time in jail - anybody got an update on him?

Trump and Stone, total egotists both, would always be like two tomcats in a pillowcase. Now there's another tomcat in the pillowcase - dear Elon. Now that I really hope ends in tears.

*There was a chilling quote which came at the end of the documentary A Storm Foretold when Stone was screaming abuse at Trump:

Quote
“Obviously,” says Roger Stone to Danish film-maker Christoffer Guldbrandsen at the end of an anti-Trump rant, “if you use any of that I’ll murder you.”
