Title: Wham! - Last Christmas is 2024 Christmas No. 1
Post by: The Accountant, OBE, KC on December 20, 2024, 08:16:45 PM
Looks like "Last Christmas" is the Christmas No 1 again for the 2nd year in a row, 40 years after it was 1st released!

I recently saw a couple of George Michael documentaries - have always enjoyed his music and obviously he is a very impressive singer / songwriter, but I'd forgotten how intelligently he came across in interviews after the media went after him for cruising - not to mention when he released Outside - the video was brilliant.

And he seems to have been a very generous person. Wham songs are very cleverly put together.

I was Whamageddoned at a funeral today. Not the actual funeral though we did have Cliff Richard singing Summer Holiday at that but at the purvey after words with a Christmas party also going on the hotel.

It used to always be the 'X Factor' winner. Is TXF still going, or has it finally gone to to the crap-telly graveyard?

Cheesy German version, like something out of the 70s

The best Christmas song. Always put it on my Christmas play list. Sometimes sing it in karaoke (very badly).

Another misunderstood soul.
Why do they not just remember him for who and what it was that made him famous?
