Title: Morning coffee may lower risk of heart disease-related death, research suggests
Post by: Nearly Sane on January 08, 2025, 02:44:44 PM
Hmm... in theory I should feel cheered by this as my coffee habits would seem to be good for me but I can't help but think that on an individual basis the multiple risk factors make any real judgement on something this specific specious.

I have two mugs of coffee in the morning, one with my breakfast and one as my midmorning cuppa.

As with all these claims I also don't know how they can possibly make sense in any real way. Americans drink more coffee than us so should, in theory, last longer than us, but obviously don't because of other factors, like gunshots. How you weigh all the possible different factors looks like a near impossible feat to me.

The claims about red wine are equally incomprehensible to me.

Still, I am ridiculously self-satisfied that the only hot drink I have is coffee.

I will also at great sacrifice to myself, persevere with red wine.

The study is about benefits of drinking coffee in the morning not all day.

In my experience, that is what Americans drink in the morning.

Yes, but do they drink it all day?

I only drink coffee in the morning. I have a cup of tea at lunchtime and one in the afternoon, the rest of the time I drink water.
