Title: Goldie, the fugitive eagle.

I remember this, though I didn't think it was as long ago as 1965. Surprised that he lived for another 21 years - how long do eagles live?

I remember that too: I was 12 going on 13. It was during the time I was imprisoned in St Albans (not really - it just felt like that).

I was on a day trip to London with a friend (I think we were going to a concert). We went straight from Kings Cross station to Regents Park then looked for the crowd.

We saw him perched in a tree.

I remember being surprised to find him on a visit to London Zoo in 1978.
