I thought I'd start a thread onto which folk can post inconsequential but interesting questions.
Here are two to start with:
1. Outside the Wimbledon fortnight, when they seem to cut the grass to a length of 8mm each day, how often does the grass on the main couts get cut - and to what length?
God only knows... LOL but I suppose that it does not get much chance to grow if they cut the grass each day... Other times I suppose they cut it the same...
let's face it... could not play tennis if grass long and you could lose the ball...
2. The bodies of the 30 Brits murdered in Tunisia are being flown home in RAF transport planes. Why only 7 or 8 bodies at a time? Surely the planes are big enough to carry 30+ bodies in coffins?
They are human beings not cargo. And maybe it is to accommodate the families flying home with them. To give them some dignity in their return at the airports and allow them to be transported to their final chapel of rest before each funeral.
They wanted to show respect in that they were people, maybe, and not cargo. Very sad affair and heartbreaking for families seeing their loved ones return in such a manner...
