Terrorist group al-Shabaab have hacked up a giraffe in a bizarre 'jihadi tourism' video in the hope of attracting new recruits. The 16-minute video released by the Islamic extremist Somali-based group appears to try to appeal to prospective jihadists' adventurous sides. The terrorists are seen hiking through the forest, travelling down a river in a boat, camping out in the jungle, fishing and and practising their target practice.Several Caucasian-looking fighters are featured in the video but their faces are always blurred. In one scene, a fighter jumps from a tree into a river and in an unmistakably British accent announces to his mates: "I'm a mermaid."Apparently filmed in the Boni National Reserve, which borders Kenya and Somalia, the shocking video also shows the al-Qaeda affiliated group hunting a giraffe and hacking its body into pieces. The group also hunt and cut up a buffalo."You eat, drink and hunt for free,” the video quotes Osama Bin Laden’s mentor Abdullah Azzam, who was assassinated in 1989, as saying.“Not in Bangkok or Los Angeles, or paying $500 a night at a London hotel. It is an entertaining journey of tourism and hunting. Indeed, the tourism of my nation is jihad."Speaking in Somali, one fighter says: "As you can see our brothers here get injured to ease our journey, Allah has granted us this great reward; a giraffe.shortage of meat here. It's a great blessing from Allah."Here, you do not need a permit to hunt these animals. In the lands of Islam these animals are free."The video also makes a threat to the Kenyan government for its recent attacks on al-Shabaab forces. They say: "We also send our condolences to the widows of the Martyred Sheikhs and other Muslim brothers who were killed by the Kenyan government.http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/al-shabaab-terrorists-hack-giraffe-6756738
