Happy Agincourt Day
« on: October 25, 2015, 11:10:03 AM »
600 years ago a body of Cheshire and Welsh archers destroyed a far larger body of French knights at Agincourt.  The long bow showed its destructive abilities to the best.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

Lists of what is needed and a search engine to find your nearest collector (scroll to bottom for latter) are here:  http://www.twam.uk/donate-tools

And 439 years later - on St Crispin's Day - in another belligerent activity, out of 670 men, 278 were killed or wounded and 335 horses died.

It became known as The Charge of the Light Brigade.

Something else we celebrated just a couple of days earlier was the 6019th anniversary of the creation.

Quite a week for anniversaries.

Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?
