You can choose to remain silent on the issue if you wish, of course, and I am free to infer from your silence that you acknowledge the point and couldn't find a rebuttal hidden amongst that detritus - but at least your lawn will look nice.

O.

Actually, the lawn is as bad as ever:  more wretched leaves got blown in over-night.     :)

Our problem Floo is that Almighty God has decreed that the evil and the good must live side by side until Judgment Day. This means that all the evil influences are being played out all around us all the time and many evil influences affect many people and the only protection we have is the accurate teaching of Jesus Christ.

You would think that many people who have been hurt by these evil influences would say to themselves 'I will follow Jesus according to what is written rather than what is portrayed' but they don't they turn to iniquity. Hence they are inflicted with a teaching that has no power.

How can you harness God's fountain of living waters from an agent of iniquity??

What an evil b*stard the deity would be if that was true!

How do you KNOW that anything attributed to Jesus is 'accurate' or actually had anything to do with him? The answer to that is you don't, however much you want it to be true.

It's still swearing, so don't pretend.

If that is tha way you want it, you can have it - he is an evil BASTARD!

And no pretty words or chocolate sprinkles are going to change that!
The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

An it harm none, do what you will; an it harm some, do what you must!

Well he does, but it's him... it's like a bad episode* of Eastenders.

O.

* or, for accuracy, a particularly bad episode given that the baseline is pretty low...

No, it's a sitcom called 'And Jesus makes three'

Starts off with Jesus getting home and God the Father shouting 'Have you tidied you room yet?' And winking at the camera because being omniscient he always knows he hasn't. To which Jesus replies 'Yep' and turns to the camera and winks twice since as he is omnipotent it happens instantly. Ended with the Holy Spirit coming in the Paraclete Flap and saying Woof

I miss the smiting from the original series.

I prefer this remake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og5HJyHrLXE

That would be the OT black and white version with the smiting? I remember the scene with the Israelites conquered the mountain and then went down to the valley and said 'Move it, you lot, the Lord is with us'. To which they just shrugged and said 'Lord, schmord, behold the Iron Chariots'  who were a popular beat combo in the valley and also the cavern

And the Israelites turned to the Schmord and beheld a rapidly retreating pillar of dust.

I've totally lost my taste for chocolate:  it's a tragedy.
