I have a bad feeling about this...

My dear Lady Rhi - I hope that it is not a feeling the ~TW~ might be right?

Please take a large glass of Chivas Regal and a 10lb box of Thortons and lie down for a week.

You will feel much better afterwards.

Your prescription is most welcome, Sir Owl.

But actually I was quoting Han Solo.

As I mentioned elsewhere I got the reference - I just thought you could use a prescription of Dr O's patent (pending) never to be put down pick-me-up!

On the subject of the poster in question an old song from schooldays comes to mind:

Hooray for Teedubbleya
Hooray at last
Hooray for Teedubbleya
He's a horses arse!

These people are nutters

Yes ALL extremists are nutters, but not all Muslims are extremists anymore than all Christians are. It is the nutters of both faiths who give their respective religions a bad name.  >:(

I think Mohammed is a very poor example of a compassionate religion

In terms of compassion theism generally and monotheism especially doesn't score tremendously highly across the board.

Of course, that makes everything better.

The example of the head honcho. Quite a diference between the two big ones with regard to the examle and "message" I would say.

The problem with the examples is there are so many stories floating around and no way of going back in time to determine the exaggerated / fictional portion of the stories from the facts in the context of the events surrounding the stories. People believe the examples that resonate with their experiences of life.

Regardless, out of the examples floating around of the two head honchos, the examples I prefer  advocate neither mindless violence nor pacifism in every situation - I don't know how to live as a pacifist in this world - seems like a path to getting yourself or others killed pretty quick - and same for mindless violence - there will always be someone better armed, more willing to cross a line, less fearful of death, more consumed with rage about a perceived injustice or just more nihilistic than you.
I identify as a Sword because I have abstract social constructs e.g. honour and patriotism. My preferred pronouns are "kill/ maim/ dismember"

Quite handy with weapons - available for hire to defeat money laundering crooks around the world.

AND YOU FORGOT TO MENTION....... more driven by religious fervour.

Ok but religious fervour is no worse a reason to kill someone than killing them for political power, money, land, corporate expansion, globalisation, patriotism, nationalism, posing a threat to your tribe, greed, envy, looking at you funny....

It is when the authority for such killing is given as Divine Ordinance i e the Qu'ran or the Bible.

Or Mao's Little Red Book or Stalin's diktats.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

Why is being killed out of religious fervour worse than being killed out of patriotic fervour? Is it just a personal preference that you feel better about mass murder inspired by concepts such as the eternal gratitude of your country and tribe for generations to come, rather than concepts such as an Afterlife and its supposed rewards of bliss and contentment?

And worse for whom?

Those come under Divine Ordinance?

Don't try and make out that you are stupid or that I am! You know the difference - Mao and Stalin were living breathing humans - God and Allah are not!

I never said it was worse.

I just pointed out that the category was an important one missed of your list.
