It is all but unbearable to look at that picture, even now.  More haunting still is the woman in white . In case you are not aware, a helicopter pictured this woman standing in the very opening in the North Tower where the plane crashed in.  She is leaning in the gaping hole waving at the helicopter.  What she hoped for is too much to bare thinking of.  There was nothing that could be done.  How she had lived thus far, in the very heart of the maelstrom is mind-boggling.  I weep just thinking of it.
