Nope. Really took off after the industrial revolution. Nothing quite says 'separate from nature' than a large iron machine belching steam tearing it up.
And if you think things were intellectually rather than technologically much different beforehand, you're dealing in out-and-out noble savage-ism of a kind not seen since Rousseau.
