Obviously I was indulging in a little hyperbole but I could see a slightly less black message gaining strength. By far the biggest welfare costs are pensions. And the biggest costs to the NHS is elderly care.  Given that we are currently running a Ponzi scheme on this, in part funded by immigration (which if stopped would affect pensions in a few very short years), there is a scenario where a certain demagoguery could make an age pogrom possible.


To jump back to the link in the OP,  there is a strain of opinion that fat people are too much of a drain. Perhaps the whole thing is a dark comment on those we might or have been induced to hate.

Superb - when I originally posted this there was nothing about the artist or art project. On having the discussions, I thought as per last post that it felt deliberate in some way, I was thinking a Banksy follower.
