The sad tale of the Lion Chambers
« on: May 30, 2017, 05:08:20 PM »
A picture of the Lion Chambers , a building I walked past daily at a significant time in my life, appeared elsewhere on my digital timeline. Even then 40 Years ago, it was beginning to decline. It is now a shell. Too difficult to restore, too beautiful to be destroyed but kept on the cruel life support of its category A listing to sink further into decrepitude. Much as I have loved it, I think the time has come to remove it and keep the memory as a lesson in our failures.
