I'm not one for soaps and the like but Coronation Street continues to be a favourite of mine. Ive been watching it most of my life . Liz Dawn was an example of perfect casting and played Vera wonderfully. I'm pretty sure Vera lived in the council house three doors down from ours when I was growing up.

  What I find so weird is that I actually met the lady in person. Just weeks ago, I found the signed photo she gave me.
She was very down to earth and she was having health problems even then with her lungs...

she wasn't very ''hot'' but she certainly was a smoker .
