No mention in article about the Nigel Barton plays of Dennis Potter or Lucky Jim.

Because of the Nigel Barton plays I always thought of him as a better William Roache, as Barton was a more interesting Ken Barlow. That's unfair on both of them but it's a shame that Duty Free seems to what he is being remembered for.

My main memory of Keith is from seventies "one off" shows such as episodes of  the likes of "Whodunnit", he did similar work to his contemporary Michael Jayston. But like Shaker, I did not know that he was as old as his obituary states.

I saw him a repeat of Law & Order UK recently. He was an actor who often popped up in all sorts of drama.

Yes Michael Jayston is the category I would have put him in.
