No, that's got nothing to do with what I wrote. If you are trying to establish the accuracy of something, or the meaning you done get there by assuming it to be accurate and having a specific meaning.

It is then you find that nearly all problems are wilfully the result of the greedy and the uncaring and we begin to realise why Jesus offers us something so very special which no one can destroy and which has a detailed Holy Book to show us that his teaching is part of a deeper teaching which the antiChrist should sit-up and take note of...and it is how we respond to Biblical teaching that will determine where we stand on these final matters of God's Judgement.

Genesis and John go hand in hand because they both start...'In the beginning'. It is a useful Biblical point that many things cross-reference in many different ways...but the Bible student has to be prepared to go all over irs many teachings with an open mind...thereby developing an acuteness of mind which is a stepping stone for our repair, and not a point to be taken lightly.

 



If you accept the theology of Genesis 1 and John 1, then, yes!
Both chapters show God in His nature; Gen shows the Father Creating, the Christophany 'walking' and the Holy Spirit 'brooding'...the triune God in action.
John 1: 1 in an accurate translation shows the Logos - who is God - incarnate.

The Holy Bible interprets itself...it denotes fairness and honesty, justice and righteousness, and just as any caring parent induces their own loving kindness on their child, Almighty God and Jesus induces us with the righteous attributes that  help us, guide us, and identify evil to us via their own loving kindness. Where many go wrong is by following iniquity that has their own take on things hidden from view but never-the-less, not very Christian.

They have read it earnestly and accurately .

However they understand it differently to you, come to different conclusions to you and yer claim to be correct in their interpretations.

A lot of more extreme Christians claim they have the elusive 'truth', even though their views are at odds with each other.

I think the most honest opinion for both believers and non believers is, 'we don't know for sure what the truth is'. We all make assumptions, mine being that if a god exists why does it hide in the closet making its existence a matter of faith? Faith is as long as a piece of string, some doctrines and dogmas being much more extreme than others, to the point of being very dangerous, like ISIS. All that can be said of the Nicholas Marks sect, with a membership of one, is it is so bonkers it is good for a giggle, and can never be taken seriously for one second.

The Holy Bible carries all the information we need about Almighty God and Jesus Christ. It cannot be argued against unless we know what it says...and it's clear that many of its debunkers have no idea what it says. If we start reading about Jesus Christ...we start at a good place because he, after all, is the son of God. Start by reading what others say is riddled with folly because the teaching in it is beyond our understanding but it feels good and carries a message of goodness, and more than anything else in the world today, we need its accuracy.

I've tried to read it in the past but made much sense of it. I try not to comment on theology since I have little knowledge of it - part of the reason I joined this forum and the previous ones such as the BBC forum, to try to understand what people believe and why. I do know however what the basic principles of Christianity are of course and recognise that your interpretation is not the norm NM. I also know enough to see that the Bible is about people's beliefs and is not a ascience manual.
