It's been doing the rounds for awhile, Rhi. As far as I can see, the houses, whilst maybe being a bit of an intrusion on the eye, don't actually cover the site of the battle itself, nor any of the graves. Drumossie Moor's a big place; the question of how far from the field should such houses be built is open. My own area has had similar issues - we have Airds Modd, which was the scene of a small, but significant, battle during the 'Killing Time' of the 1680's. Legal wrangling over just how far from the site buildings, or at one point, an opencast coal fieled (now abandoned) should be, caused a stushie some decades ago.
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

There is now controversy surrounding a plan to put a driverless car track on the site of the Battle of Bosworth in Leicestershire.

"A driverless car, a driverless car. My kingdom for a driverless car."
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?
