I agree with May over that one. Our children would have been grounded for a very long time if they had pulled that stunt.

That's the same argument employers make about their workers sriking. As arguments go, it's pretty poor. Quite how one goes about "saving the earth" though is a different matter (for the record I do think we should manage and protect the environment).

I do think though that a timely reminder from our future to we, the old shitter generation that looks collectively to have done everything possible to spoil it.......is probably a good thing.

I'm afraid that as a collective we have voided our position as an example to follow.

I am sceptical about school kids demonstrating, some no doubt truly believe that climate change needs to be addressed before it is too late. However, I suspect many of them are more than happy to take time off school. I would have been much more impressed if they had saved their demo for half term, which is next week for most of them.

I am sceptical about school kids demonstrating, some no doubt truly believe that climate change needs to be addressed before it is too late. However, I suspect many of them are more than happy to take time off school. I would have been much more impressed if they had saved their demo for half term, which is next week for most of them.

Wouldn't have got as much coverage. It's just a pity that people are worried more about them striking for 1 day than creating a mass extinction event.
