Ninety Labour MPs and peers have criticised the decision to readmit MP Chris Williamson back into the party.

They expressed "hurt and anger" at the ruling and said Jeremy Corbyn must withdraw the party whip.

Can't make head or tail of this - either Labour have an independent process for dealing with such issues or they don't. If Corbyn can be pressured into withdrawing the whip after the NEC have re-admitted Williamson - then that is certainly not following an independent process.
