Rather a misleading headline: it's a cross-party alliance which includes those two parties, but also others.
I once tried using "chicken" as a password, but was told it must contain a capital so I tried "chickenkiev"
On another occasion, I tried "beefstew", but was told it wasn't stroganoff.

I think the reason for the headline is that the two parties combined are currently running around  40 and 45 % in opinion polls.

And I think the reason is that they want an eye-catching headline to make it click-bait.

On another occasion, I tried "beefstew", but was told it wasn't stroganoff.

As well as being diametrically opposed on most matters of policy.
