Murdering Inglorious Bastards
« on: January 29, 2020, 09:28:56 AM »
Read this and weep.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/jan/28/disabled-man-starved-to-death-after-dwp-stopped-his-benefits

There have been reports for quite a few years now of this inhuman treatment of people in our own country.

I do hope it will give those people, either in government who enabled these actions, or their supporters who sanctioned the actions, some pause for thought.
Before we work on Artificial Intelligence shouldn't we address the problem of natural stupidity.

Clearly it doesn't have to be the way it is. Politics is the problem, we are promised progress but, in practice, what is put in place is not fit for purpose.

Often the systems set up are not even legal:

Ah, but I was so much older then ... I'm younger than that now
