Or perhaps it's just that most interested people on this forum have already been aware of David Chalmer's views.

For my own part one part I find interesting is his attempt to align his panpsychism views with IIT, without paying attention to clear discrepancies(E.G. IIT's view that does not attribute even its own version of consciousness indiscriminately to all things).
Sometimes I wish my first word was 'quote,' so that on my death bed, my last words could be 'end quote.'

On the one hand you people dismiss all ideas of Consciousness being external to the brain as nonsense. And then you also expect a comprehensive and 'all loose ends tied up' theory neatly presented to you on a platter for your perusal.  ::)

This is just the beginning. Long way to go. Several models and several hypotheses are bound to be presented over the coming years and decades. Some of them will survive and develop. Some will die out. Just like in all other areas of investigation.

Better and more suitable methodologies will develop and we will get a more integrated idea of what life and the universe is...... unlike the disjointed theories of today that rely almost entirely on random physical events and have no place for such fundamental features of life as consciousness and life experiences.
