You can make pretty much anybody look like they've lost their marbles by editing a series of stumbles together into one short clip. It practically became a national sport while Trump was president.

Indeed. I googled Biden's latest speech and it sounded fine, he has a hearing problem so had to ask for a question to be repeated but he sounded as if he knew what he was talking about (as much as any politician can) and did not appear confused at all.

U.S. House of Representatives passed Rep. Omar and Rep. Jan Schakowsky’s bill the Combating International Islamophobia Act, 219-212. Hours earlier, the Biden Administration announced the President’s support for the legislation.

Rep Omar said:

Mr. Speaker, we are in the midst of a staggering rise of anti-Muslim violence and discrimination around the world. At its worst, it is Uyghurs in concentration camps in China and a genocide against the Rohingya in Burma. But those atrocities are part of a deeper fabric of violence against Muslims and impunity for violence against Muslims at a global level. In India, Prime Minister Modi’s government has moved to strip citizenship from millions of Muslims. In Sri Lanka, anti-Muslim laws and violence have imposed terror on the community. In Hungary, Belarus, and Poland, politicians have stoked fear of Muslim refugees and immigrants. In New Zealand and Canada, white supremacist violence has targeted Muslims, including at their places of worship.

Apparently the pro-Israeli lobby are taking out paid ads to try to smear Omar, to try to remove her in 2022 mid-term elections.

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released a statement where he said:

No one should have to live in fear because of one’s religion – today, however, the threat of Islamophobic violence has become a daily reality for Muslim Americans.  Just as we have a special envoy to address antisemitism, it is important that we take this step today to continue our commitment to addressing the scourge of religious intolerance here at home and around the world.
