BBC should be realistic on licence fee - Sunak
« on: December 04, 2023, 08:25:51 AM »
Of course, there's no real indication from Sunak what he actually means by that. It's posturing, avoiding making any decisions about the BBC as he's worried that might lose votes, and trying to sound tough as he might lose votes if he doesn't. I suppose we shouod be glad that at least it's not corrupt, or blatantly idiotic, or both.

So the govt wants to break the agreement but realises that thar might be difficult in terms of future agreements with anyone so finds a way of sort of keeping it and sort of breaking it.
