Difficult to see what options Biden has. Will be interesting to see what if any impact this has on the election. It's difficult to remain isolationist when troops are being killed, and hard for parts of the American right to remain isolationist as regards Israel.

The complexity here may be one thing that means it does not become more than a series of flashpoints. Action is harder when an option to coalesce around is not clear. That may be me searching for a reason for some optimism.
