Well, first of all Happy Birthday to John Lydon. Interesting article though I think it perhaps elevates being a git (note, I use that in an approving fashion) to a philosophy but then that may be behind 90% of philosophy.

Not really, given Hume's much remarked upon bonhomie, and I don't see anything in his philosophy that would work as an straightforward connection. Schopenhauer on the other hand.  I think though much of that focusses on the birthday boy.
